We got home early this morning, around 2. The drive was okay. There was some traffic. It rained the whole way home. When we arrived there were a lot of trees and branches down. Today there was a lot of tornado and thunderstorm warnings. We were glued to the the TV. Some places here are flooding. They are now opening up stores and gas stations. We didn't know that there was a curfew here, but it was lifted today. There will be no school until Monday. Hayden and I get to hang out some more. Hayden was so glad to be home. He missed his bed. He slept really well once he got out of his car seat. He was a pretty good traveler; he cried a bit on the way home. We are going to try to go to the doctor tomorrow. He has a check up. I am not 100% sure if they will be seeing patients, so we will see. We have done so rearranging and packing up a few boxes. Mimi and Pop gave us a table and chairs for our dining room so we sat down as a family in our own home for the first time. Thanks Mimi and Pop! We are glad to be home and to see that nothing isn't damaged and that we are safe. I have been researching different college funds for Hayden; since we are living in a new state I am not sure it we can use Texas's fund or switch to Louisiana. So we are trying to find the best plan for Hayden. We want to make a good investment for his future. One thing that I was reading about Louisiana's plan was they would match your investment based on your income. We can't decide what to do or which route to go.
