Baby Update

Things are moving along really great with the baby. I am starting to hate being pregnant. I am loving Monday's because that means another week has passed. Last week we actually got a confirmed date for the C-Section which will be May 7th. I was kinda bummed that it wasn't going to be the 9th because that would allow me to work two extra days and be able to have more help with Hayden if we needed it. I think now I am relieved that I won't have to be pregnant for two more days and it looks like Monday will fit David's schedule better. As of now he is schedule to work Monday and Tuesday and will be off on Wednesday and Thursday. He is planning on using vacation and comp time on Monday and Tuesday. We should be home by Wednesday morning at the latest. I hate being in the hospital so I hope I recover fast and can come home quick. I want to have my new little family home and get adjust to everything at home. We have some plans lined out for Hayden. Having family here helps make things a lot easier this time around. Everyone has volunteered to take Hayden while we are at the hospital, but I want Hayden there with us. I think this will be a huge adjustment for all and I want him close. I don't want him to feel like we are abandoning him while we have a baby. Seeing Hayden excited about everything when we went to register was priceless and having him in the mix of all of the new baby stuff is so worth it. I can't wait to see his face when he holds the baby for the first time. He loves picking out baby brothers clothes and wants to try all of the baby gear to see if he can use it and help baby brother. In April, I will make a count down of days because Hayden ask all the time. We have been asked if we have any names yet and sadly we have a few favorite but nothing for sure. I am hoping in the 3 weeks we can have something official. David has been really great at getting all of the big stuff together and helping with nursery. I think he is understanding that I am feel the pressure and want the nursery checked off my list. I am in the nesting phase and messes are driving me nuts! I think it annoys David more then me because I want to clean but get tired so fast, so I start and don't finish. I have been preparing meals for when we come home. Once or twice a week I cook extra of a meal and then freeze it. I haven't done this before but I've been reading up on what to do. I am hoping that I will have about 2 weeks of meals saved up.

Time Flies

Man, I can't believe that it has been 20 days since my last post! I don't know where the time goes but I blink my eyes and then it is time for bed. Last week, was spring break and lot happened then and news about the baby occurred last week too. I am going to start with today and update you on what is happening now and back track until I think I am caught up with everything I want to post about.

Okay, so a few weeks ago David and I decided that we think we should sell the house and look for something bigger...room to grow?! As it is we are right on top of each other and I can't imagine how much smaller the house will feel when the baby comes. So we have been working on getting the house ready to list. We are meeting with the Realtor on Wednesday so we are thinking that she will list it sometime by the end of the week. We have had so many little projects to do. Every room in the house has something that needs work from touch up paint to being clear of clutter. We worked this whole weekend on different projects around the house. I am the type of person that wants to finish a room and then move on to a different project. David likes to work on the big projects and then do the little ones next. It is making me go crazy because every room in the house isn't done. We have Hayden's room and his bathroom completed. I need to do some cleaning in them but overall I can check it on my list. In the master bedroom and bathroom is almost done except for moving things around and some stuff to the garage. The baby room is coming along. David put the crib together on Monday so I have been trying to finish all of the little things. We hung the curtains today and it looks so cute! I almost finish sewing the bumper pads and once that is done the crib will be finished. Hayden and I planted flowers in the beds on Saturday. We even have a few vegetables and strawberries planted in a bed in the back yard. Hayden is very excited about that. He can't wait to see them grow and wants to check on them to see if anything is happening. I keep telling him it will take time.

Baby Update

Things are moving along with the baby. I am gaining weight at a steady rate, which is good. I think I am gaining too much weight but my doctor doesn't think so! I took my diabetes test a few weeks ago and everything is good. He is moving a lot and loves to hear David and Hayden's voice. I am craving coke icees and bananas. David has been really good at picking up things I start craving after dinner like ice cream or a certain candy. I feel huge and can't wait to sleep on my belly again. My back hurts and I know I am in the waddling stage, UGH!! I do have to say David has been helping out a lot with things. He doesn't let me carry anything and tends to help with Hayden more. He checks on me a lot and gets concerned when I am up at night. He reminds me of all the things I need to discuss with the doctor and helps me remembers the everyday stuff. David is still in the we have forever stage, but when I told him it is time for my appointment he said, man it has already been two weeks!! We or should I say I are in the counting down stage...by weeks. We have less than 9 weeks to go. I went to the doctor yesterday and will have one more two week appointment then we move on to weekly! Yup, he will be here before we know it.

Really?

You would think since I am the one that is going to have a baby that we would spend the majority of our medical budget on me. Well you see that is not the case! David and Hayden have so much going on with them. I will start with David. David and Hayden have both had horrible allergies this year. David has been on antibiotics at least once a month. So we he has been to see the ENT a lot. He finally got answers and is slowly getting over all of that stuff. He ended up getting allergy tested and he is allergic to 28 things out of the 40 they tested for. So needless to say allergy shots will start soon and he needs to have a sleep study done too. We also noticed that Hayden has been struggling to hear. We repeat things constantly and he always says huh? At first, I figured it was just a bad habit. He did pass his hearing test in the fall so I didn't think anything about it. Well, David was telling Hayden a lot of secrets and he kept saying, huh. David was pretty concerned so David took Hayden to the ENT. Hayden failed his hearing test miserably and now is on antibiotics. The doctor did say that it wasn't an ear infection but he has a lot of fluid in there. We are hoping that the antibiotics clear up the fluid because if it doesn't he will need tubes again. I don't think it is a big deal to do tubes again but the whole process wears me out. After we get the ear thing figured out Hayden will need to be allergy tested again. This will be great because he is sneezing and his eyes water a lot.

Big Brother

Oh how I love my little man. He is so thoughtful and really can't wait until the baby comes. The other night we were reading stories and he wanted to read on to the baby. He didn't know all of the words so he made it up, that is my favorite part!

**This video is really dark**

At school, he wore his I'm a the best big brother shirt, one of his teacher's didn't know that I was pregnant so she was talking to Hayden about it. He knew everything. He told her it was a boy and it was coming May 9th, the month before June.

David has been trying to clean out the office and move out the last few things that are in there. We came home last week and the computer was moved into our room. Hayden was so excited. He said yes, now there is room for the crib! I told him when Spring Break comes we are going to have to finish brother's room. He said oh my, that will take a long time.

We were two weeks late getting registered for the hospital so David and Hayden meet me there one day after school. It was actually a quick process, but I wanted to show Hayden the hospital and explain some of the stuff that would take place. Hayden didn't want to leave the hospital without baby brother. He wanted me to stay and have him. I told him it wasn't time and he got very sad. He can't wait...we are all in the same boat.
