Baby Shopping

Okay...I have a confession to make, I love baby things. Oh how I miss the little outfits that match with the shoes, socks, hat, and a bib. So last weekend I went shopping. I really needed maternity dress pants. So off to the resale shops...we went. I was able to score really good deals. All of my pants were 50-75 percent off. SCORE!! Weeks ago David and I went up in the attic to pull baby stuff down. I have plenty of onesies and sleepers but because Hayden was born in the fall and this baby will come in May the seasons are off. Hayden's 0-3 months are winter stuff... pants, sweaters, and long sleeve things. I know I need to buy summer outfits and since everyone is wanting winter clothes its the perfect time for great sales. I was able to score a few things for the baby. My favorite things were the hat and the shoes!! I can't wait to try those on our little guy!!

Baby Pictures

It seems like the weeks of being pregnant are flying by. I can't keep track of how many weeks I am. I am constantly referring to an app on my phone. I am two days shy of being 15 weeks. The good news is that I am past the first trimester and I am not so sick anymore!! I am still tired but I am guessing that it has something to do with me being so busy. We go the 28th for a normal check up...so we will be able to hear the baby's heartbeat. David really wants to keep checking on the heartbeat but I have a feeling that we will be going for the heart sonogram just to make sure. We did play the name game the other day but we didn't decided on anything. Hayden's choice is Diego or Carter (after his best friend at school). Sorry Hayden...but those names won't do. When I was pregnant with Hayden I kept a journal of different things like my symptoms, what I was feeling, and all the doctor reports. I got it out and started reading it and I forgot a lot of stuff. I was really sick with him...something that I didn't remember. I craved the same thing as I do with this one. It is so surprising because I didn't remember any of that. I am glad to know that for sure we are having a boy and so excited about all of the adventures my two boys will have me on. Okay...here is the real reason you are reading this post is for pictures!

I was 12 weeks along and according to the sonogram lady the baby is the size of a pinky. It is mind blowing that a baby can develop so quickly. The last sonogram was done at 8 weeks and you really couldn't see anything and 4 weeks later, you have....

Now if you let Hayden show you the pictures he will say..You want to see pictures of MY BABY!! Yes, I am the big brother and here is my baby. Now look do you see that (pointing) this is the boy baby's head and you see that on top of his face. It is his hand because he is sucking his thumb. Now this is a big picture of his face. You see his nose? He is a VERY proud big brother and I wouldn't have it any other way!!

4th Birthday

Oh how I miss my 3 year old...Another year older means another year of accomplishments. I am so proud of what and who my little boy has become. He truly makes me smile and I am not sure how I could live without him. Looking through the pictures made relive all the moments leading up to his birthday. So here is the run down of the day! Hayden doesn't have a concept of how long time is so he kept asking is it time yet can we go!

Here is Laney, Ava, and Hayden before all the party. (In case you've been a cave for awhile Hayden and Ava are so close. He can't really seem to go long without seeing her. They play really well together and have their own games and things they play. I see a future of TROUBLE with them because they stick up for each other. I love how close and how well they've bonded. He has a playmate and friend for life).

It was kind hard to get 3 kids to smile and look at the camera at the same time.

We ate next...which felt like rushing because Hayden was dying to open presents. Hayden had so many things to open. He really didn't look at everything he just unwrapped and moved on. When we got home he opened everything, so it was a big mess. Two weeks ago we finally put everything away and organized it all.

Next was the cake...Now getting the cake there without messing anything up was a disaster. I convinced David to drive and I would hold the cake. Well his driving wasn't all that careful. A few pieces broke off so I had to set them on the cake. The cake took longer then I expected. It was so worth it because Hayden loved his cake. He liked the driver, which he said was him.

I loved the reaction of him listening to everyone sing to him. He got really embarrassed and covered his eyes.

Then when we were clapping he got really exited and happy

At last, he blew out the candles!!

Hayden had a great time and it was so fun to see his reaction to eveything

Baby News

I feel like this is all I talk about...and then every now and then I feel it in with Hayden stuff. I need to put Hayden's birthday on here (the pictures our on David's computer so it will take awhile).

So last week I went for my testing and everything turned out fine. I have a low risk of having a baby with Downs or things like that. I was very surprised how easy the process and how fast I got results. I had everything back by Thursday. I do need to go for a special ultra sound for the baby heart because it was beating too fast about 179-185 beats and it should be around 120-160. The ultra sound will allow for time to monitor the heartbeat. The doctor didn't seemed to concerned so we will wait and see. She said that sometimes the heart beat will go back to normal. I can't go for the ultra sound until I am 20 weeks so that will be the week after Christmas. I have an appointment in few weeks so she will listen to the heart beat then but she can't monitor it for a long period of time. It seems like this is just a precaution...just to make sure everything is okay. At first I was really scared and concerned but after me and David talked to her it didn't see that big of a deal. David is tell me just to take it easy and not freak out...so we are doing that!! We also got a few good pictures. I will scan those later...but they are really good. Hayden can identify the baby in the picture.

Writing

Hayden is so full of joy and I love every time that he has learned something new but I haven't seen it. Hayden has been working on writing his name since he turned 3. It has always been terrible. I could barely make out the letters...(that's pretty bad since I am used to it). We work on it any chance that we get. He finds it very time consuming and doesn't want to do it. I guess all the practice at school and home paid off. When writing his name on a card. He did really well on his first name...he has that down pat. On his last name we got to the N and forgot what was next. He doesn't have understand of spacing on a page so he tends to take up the whole page. So he had to cross out a few letter in his last name because they were way to big. He did this at Aunt Ann's house so I sent the picture to David. David said wow that is good and Hayden had a huge smile on his face...too cute.

The next picture is of Hayden crashing after a long day of playing and no nap!

Enjoy...

It's a....

This day has been very exciting. We found out late this evening the sex of our baby. It was so neat to sit as a family and to hear the news. I wished I could have captured all of our excitement on video...especially Hayden's. Now I know adding another member to the family is all worth it!

Enjoy!!
