Beach Break

Sunday night we went to the beach with David's Family. Hayden loved the sand. He wasn't crazy about the waves. He loved hanging on to David as the waves went by. He enjoyed the last bit of summer vacation we had left. I think we might do this more often. It was a great way to get away and have fun. It made a huge mess in my car, sand was everywhere. I started training this week. I am enjoying getting to know all the new teachers that will be at my school. Hayden has been doing great at daycare. He still is crying when he gets dropped off. We aren't sure what are plans are for this weekend. Maybe we will visit the Children's Museum. On Thursday night they have free family nights for those who want to go. I will be at Parent Orientation that night. David is busy helping out a friend. So Hayden has been missing his Dad. I think tonight we will check out a nature park in Dickinson. We need to do some yard work. I would love to replant a flower bed by the front window.

We reached 200.....

WOW! I can't believe I made it to 200 postings. This is very exciting and encouraging. I love to blog but often find that I repeat the same stuff. I have been going to bed with Hayden and therefore not been able to blog in the evenings. I finished my room and have things together for Parent Orientation which takes place next week. I am very excited and I am not nervous because I feel prepared. I am staying home today while Hayden is at school. I am cleaning up the house. It has become a disaster. We have been in and out so much that we haven't found the time or energy to clean. I kept telling David that we need to hire a cleaning lady, but David says no....I am the cleaning lady. I picked up Hayden from daycare and decided that he needed mommy time (I am feeling GUILTY about leaving him in the mornings, as I walk by the window I see him crying and saying mommy go mommy go). So we took a trip to Kemah. I thought Hayden would loved it. He didn't like it so much we did a lot of walking around and looking at the boats. He loved riding the little boat that gets you over to the Boardwalk. We are planning on taking a trip to Galveston this weekend. We will pack a cooler full of goodies and spend the afternoon there. I finally have a video of him. I am also uploading pictures of him so enjoy all of the silly cheese faces. Please pray for us as I officially start the school year. I will be extremely busy and Hayden will have a long day in daycare. David starts dropping Hayden off in the mornings so I am not sure how that will go. He has never done it before.

School Time

We have been extremely busy. We went to the camp house this weekend Hayden has a blast. He loved the sand at the lake and went down the slides too. He played outside a lot and roasted his first marshmallow. He enjoyed stuffing to many marshmallows in his month. He loved finding the perfect stick to roast with we gave him a few options and he couldn't make up his mind. He started school today. He did okay..... cried a bit but I think it was because he is getting used to staying home with David and I. He loved eating lunch and breakfast there. He was on his best behavior. Amy is with me for a few days to help my in my classroom. I forgot how much work it is to get organized. I got my school supplies in which was exciting. I enjoyed going through them. I get my curriculum books next week, I am so thrilled about that. We are enjoying our last bit of summer time. I took a lot of pictures this weekend of Hayden. I am planning to load them tomorrow night. We are enjoying our house and finally getting things settled. We are going to hang pictures this week so it will feel more like a home too. Hayden's newest word thing is repeating the last word that you say. He is talking a ton. You can understand him which is great. Another thing he likes to do is spin around in circles. When he was spinning last night he fell onto his bed. He got a huge bump on his head which turned into a bruise.
