Potty Time

Hayden has successfully peed in the potty two days in a row. We make a HUGE deal when he does and he laughs and gets so excited. I am not sure if he knows what this means but it is a start for him. He is still a little young. I went shopping last night by myself. It was so peacefully and quite. I didn't have to rush around. I got to browse the racks and I found the cutest pair of shorts. David start a fencing job next week so he won't be around to help around the house. Grandma Gilbert had surgery so say a prayer for her. Today at school we released butterflies and Hayden loved it. He was so nice and gently to them. He would look inside the butterfly pavilion and point to the butterflies. Hayden has also had three good days at school. David and I are learning parenting if a very difficult thing. We are not the perfect parents and are learning as we go along. One thing we have learned is that Hayden is a very strong willed child. He likes it his way or no way which many toddlers do, but it is different when it is your kid throwing a fit in a grocery store.

A weekend gone

Hayden and I spent the weekend at my Aunts house. Hayden had a blast. He went shopping with us and he even got to play in the sprinkler. He loved it. He would run through the water and then laugh and run away. He did this several times. He was so funny to watch. We went to the camp house to get some stuff for me that my aunt had stored there. He loved the screen in porch. Hayden and Holly would run around out there. He is going to love the camp house in a few years, it is such a boys place. I am so excited about teaching in August I can't wait. I have so many ideas for the classroom. David has been busy bidding jobs and doing some advertising. Hayden's didn't want want me to leave this morning. I he kept clinging on to me. I guess he wanted mom to go to school with him. Hayden loves the song "Take me Out to the Ball Game". I can't wait later this summer we take him to his First Astros game.

Sorry...its been a long time

I can't believe that it has been two weeks since my last post. Time if flying by. David and I will be married three years on the 16th. I can't believe three years ago we were making wedding plans and heading to the beach. What a wonderful and blessing wedding we had. I married the man of my dreams. I love you David! So anyways Hayden smashed his finger in the door at school. It hurt so bad that he kept on putting his hand in his mouth which caused an infection. He is on some strong Antibiotic and his nail came off last night. His finger looks terrible. Hayden has been saying two words sentences lately. His favorite is my ball or mom/dad bye. When I ask him for a kiss he turns his check so I can kiss him there. Hayden has been trying to use the potty. I think I hate the idea. How convenient is changing diapers. During the weekends we will put underwear on him and bring him to the potty several times. I gets really old and we go through a few pairs of undies. He knows when he is wet though. He will pull off a diaper if he needs to be changed. He is so fun and we are enjoying every minute with him. I hate the tantrums and the "boy" behavior. He is a strange kid...He is a angel every where we go and the minute he get home he runs wild. I don't know why. Please pray for us as we go through some tough decisions. Soon we will post a little of what decisions we are making if everything goes according to plan. Many of y'all have asked if we have found a church home. We haven't joined anywhere yet. We are enjoying and look forward going to church with Joy, Wayne, and Margret (David's grandparents and great grandma). It is nice to see them every Sunday and we enjoy the preacher.
