Okay, I have been home for a few weeks and it's been busy to say the least. It is kinda shocking that I find myself with less time when I am home then when I am at work. I have enjoyed being off for the most part...Hayden loves to challenge me and my times I find myself in a battle between the two boys. One that wants all my attention and is literally glued to me the other not knowing where he stands in this family. Oh, the joys of being a mom! How I am gonna regret all the times I didn't stop the do list and just sit down and play. We have done a ton of things so far let me get a quick run down.
1 Hayden allergy tested no allergies...if he gets worse or has a bad allergy season they will do a blood allergy test! Overall good news cause Ethan has horrible allergies, taking after David of course!
2. David's side family vacation to Columbia Lakes...Had a good times, we really enjoyed the water slide, food, and all the family. Hope the tradition continues for years. It will be neat to look back every 5 to 10 years to see where we were.
3. Lots of library trips and reading books and of course renting movies so Hayden and I can have a bowl of popcorn and watch some Disney films. We have been doing school work 2 to 3 times a week. Hayden is learning a lot and reading really well. He has addition down.
4. Kemah trip...kinda fun, more work than I thought with 2 kids! They loved the sprinklers but having a lil one glued to me made it difficult for him to enjoy.
5. Baseball for Hayden. The BOYS and I MEAN the boys love it! Oh how fun it is to watch and see how much Hayden has grown athletically since he was 3. He can hit, throw, and catch pretty good. He is still a little bored waiting for a ball to come to him, so he leaves his position to go get the ball from someone else. Wonder who that sounds like? I see basketball or football in his future.
6. Park days....and picnics. The boys love it and it and they play so hard but lately the 110 temperatures with the heat index makes it so unbearable. So I am thinking breakfast in the park or after dinner park time. Ethan will literally cling on me to not get into the carseat when it is time to go.
7. Lots of changes for Ethan....man or man we have another smart one in this crew. He likes to work puzzles and do shape sorter. He know what I say and will listen when he wants too. He is learning new words and talking a bunch. Today, I said lets go bye bye after getting him dressed. He walked to the shoe bucket and was waiting for me to put his shoes on. Sometimes when he wants to go somewhere he will tell me bye bye and attempt to put on whosoever shoes he can find. He likes to sing the abc song and tell me up and down. He goes in the bathroom and tells me bath bath. Next, we are going to learn body parts!
8. Loose tooth for Hayden and his first cavity. Hayden's tooth should fall out in the next week or so and has another loose tooth right next to this one. Has a cavity but don't have to fill it just yet.
Not sure what else is going on here but we are loving it. I miss my students but love to be just mama for once. Pictures of all the good stuff should follow tomorrow, 5:30 is going to come early! The rest of my pictures are on my phone...
