Well....lets just say this week had its ups and downs...
I think Hayden misses playing with kids his age. At a certain point playing with your mom and dad get old when you can play with others that pretty much think and act the same way, you do. We have been going to Chick Fil A because there are always kids there and it has air condition so I don't sweat to death. We have been playing outside in the evening too. Ethan has a water table that he plays in but now instead of standing and playing in it he climbs into it and then sits down, I guess that is his version of a pool. I don't know but, when I take him out he throws a huge fit. We put the boys in the same room and then gave them a play room. I feel so organized now that every toy has a place and it is not driving me nuts. I seriously clean and try to pick up toys but never had a dedicated spot so they just got thrown into a huge toy box and then we would spend forever trying to look for pieces or find things. Ethan has been teething so he has been extra crabby. We are trying to get Ethan down to one long nap a day. Sometimes he will sleep for three hours which is great other times only two and by 6:30-7 he is just crabby. I hate those days because that is right during cleaning up from dinner and it makes things very hectic around here. The boys seem to be adjusting to sleeping in the same room. Although I have noticed that Hayden is a crazy sleeper, he turns the lights on and says the weirdest things. When you ask him he has no idea what happened. When I was watching the monitor I saw him get out of bed turn the lights on mumble a lot then cover himself back up and then carry on a conversation I couldn't follow.
So on Monday, Hayden shot a rubber band in his eye, it was one of those big rubber bands that go on a punching balloon. He ended up scratching his cornea. I thought it was kinda funny at first and was laughing because he came inside all frantic and was like I am sooo sorry it was an accident....I was thinking well you did it to yourself, he had to call David right away and tell him what happened. He wouldn't open that eye and slept most of the day. I knew he didn't feel good so I ended up taking him to a pediatric eye doctor and they patched his eye for 24 hours. On Wednesday, he lost his tooth after eating breakfast. David tugged a bit on his tooth until he complained and then I looked at it gave it a little push and out it flew on the floor. He started freaking out and then was like oh man I gotta find it. Aunt Marcelle gave him a tooth container so he put it in that. Today he told me mom, the tooth fairy took my container and my tooth, why did she do that? I said I wasn't sure but maybe the next tooth he looses she will bring it back. When I tucked him in, in the middle of the night he looked for his tooth and found money. He was every excited that she came.
Once again when David and I were talking I got all emotionally about him loosing a tooth...he pretty much thinks it so funny that I hate them growing up. He always tries to prepare me for the future with this boys but I don't think I can every be ready for the day they don't need their mama.
Here are a few pictures from this week....
Enjoy
