Apple

We have been so busy. Today, I went to a fabulous training about Kinder Small Groups. I learned a ton. I have so many ideas that I can't wait to get started. At the same time I feel a little overwhelmed with all the things I will be teaching. David stayed home with Hayden. Hayden seemed to enjoy staying with him because he got so excited when I was leaving. We went to the grocery store and I always talk to Hayden. I usually tell him what I need or what I just put in the basket. We were in the produce section and I was deciding on what type of apples I was going to get. Out of no where Hayden pointed to the apples and said "apple". I have never heard that word and he loves to eat sliced apples all the time. It surprised me because I didn't think he knew what an apple was. I know he is learning all the time. We read books tonight before bed. It has been a long time since we read stories before bed but he loved it. He picked out 3 books and sat still and looked at the pictures from each book . He even went straight to bed afterwords. Although he did run to our room to go to sleep. I reminded him to go night night in the big boy bed. He didn't like the idea at first but went to sleep without a fight. Tomorrow we will be enrolling him in daycare again but he won't start until August. Hayden's latest thing is to transfer things from one container to another. He loves to do it with water. He pulls out different bowls and tries to pour Holly's water into them.

Home at Last

We are finally in a house and are loving it. I am so excited and thrilled. The move was great we did most of it by our self with a little help from David's family. We had to dodge the rain a few times. Amy (my sister) came down to watch Hayden while we moved and unpacked. It was great to have her help. I got so much done. We ended up throwing a lot of stuff away after going through it all. Hayden has even slept in his big boy bed. He hasn't fought us when it was time for bed he lays down and goes to sleep on his own. I am at Aunt Ann's enjoying time with my brother and sister. They came down for a few weeks and since I am off it was the perfect time to visit with family. Hayden is enjoying his time here. He always has a playmate. I have to go back in a couple days because I have to go to some training days. Today we went and bought some fabric for my classroom. I can't wait to see the room all put together with. We have so many new things ahead of us. Please continue to pray for us as we leap ahead with all the changes. I am praying for my little man that he finally feels settled and continue to know that he is loved. He will start a new school and have a new friends. I am believing that this change will be best for him. Every day Hayden is coming out of his shell. He is a smart and strong willed. He enjoys playing ball and being with his Daddy. He wants to go everywhere with David. I always tell him when his is bigger he can go. He gets excited when he hears David's voice. I am going to try to keep the blog updated since I am home these few weeks.

Busy Life

If you are wondering where we have been we are working on our house. I didn't know that getting a home ready to move in would take a week or two. We have been cleaning, painting, patching up holes in the walls...... It is very time consuming and tedious. I am hoping all of this hard work will help the boys with their allergies. The good thing about the house is that there is tile floors in the house (except in the bedrooms). The will help a ton in the Spring. I can't wait to move in. We are trying to pack all of our stuff so that we can move in this weekend. It is going to be one long tiring week, but so worth it. We have a deck out outside and Hayden loves it. He is going to have a lot of fun playing on it. David has been working on the house everyday. He has so much to do. I am excited about what the future holds for us. We are going to enjoy our house. I am finally feeling at home. I think the fact that everyone has their own space really helps. My last day of work will be Friday. This is a huge relief because it gives me time to unpack and get settled in. Hayden has been doing great on the potty. Saturday morning he took off his diaper and ran to his little potty and sat then pooped. Every time he takes off his diaper he knows to go sit and he tires to go. I am thinking that next week we might try underwear at home. He will be at home this week so it will be the perfect opportunity. I hope he does well. The good thing is he's not two yet, so we have lots of time to practice and get it down. I am hoping that he will be fully potty trained by the time he turns two.

Happy 4th

We spent the weekend at Aunt Ann's. David came to join us. We had a blast lounging outside and letting Hayden explore the yard. Hayden loved going in the sprinkler. He enjoyed playing at the park too. He even saw a Parade and got candy thrown to him. We ate shrimp there too. That is one of Hayden's favorite foods. Hayden pooped in the potty there too!! I can tell when Hayden is about to use the bathroom. I changed his diaper because it was dirty. He said poop and walked to the bathroom. Aunt Ann sat him on the pot and he did the deed. It was so exciting. He has been working really hard at school with using the potty. He wants to be big so bad. I will upload the pictures and the video this weekend. I have a cute video to upload of Hayden. He is saying hi and bye into the camera. So Precious. We are getting ready to pack which we all dread. This will be our third move in a year. I am excited and ready to have a house. The only good thing about packing is that we get rid of a lot of junk. We knew that this move wasn't permanent so we kept a lot of things pack. Hayden is doing great. His newest thing is being a helper. He loves to help me cook, pack lunches, and wash clothes. Today at school he was the snack helper. He enjoyed passing out snacks to everyone. He walked really slow so he didn't spill anything. He even helped throw away the trash when everyone was finished.

Spelling

I can't believe that we are at the stage where we have to spell things out. Last night I was telling David that he needed to give Hayden a bath. After I said that Hayden went over to David, told him to get up and then stood by the bathroom door waiting for David to open it. So from now on we have to spell thing out. It is so amazing how much he understands. He said a full sentence the other night. He said "Where's my ball?" He put his hands up and shrugged his shoulders it was the cutest thing. We have enjoyed the evenings with Hayden he seems to light up and tell us about school. We will be leaving for Aunt Ann's tonight. I get to go through some more school stuff which I am so excited about. I can't wait until August, although I am getting very nervous and scared because this will be my first year teaching public school. Please pray for David, Hayden, and I because this month we will be going go through a lot of changes for everyone. Hayden will start a new daycare and I will give up seeing him everyday. We also will be moving again. I am not going to go into details about this or why but it is a house which we are buying. I am praying that it will feel like home and Hayden will adjust well (which means sleep in his own bed).
